With Eurolines, you can carry for free 2 pieces of luggage in the hold (max. 20kg each for a max. total of 40kg) and 1 carry-on on most of our lines*.

Extra luggage can be accepted if there is enough space in the hold; fees apply for each additional bag.

Luggage in the hold must meet the following requirements: 

  • Weight: one luggage cannot exceed 20kg
  • Dimensions: the sum of the 3 measurements (length + width + depth) of one luggage must not exceed 170 cm,
  • Labels: all luggage must be labelled (last name, first name, telephone number, full address is the passenger’s full address and destination). When boarding, labels will be delivered.

Bicycles, skis and musical instruments are forbidden on board and in the hold.

For safety reasons, it is prohibited to carry :

  • Illegal or inflammable products (drugs, weapons, combustible fuel, toxic materials, ect.)
  • Animals (except for guide dogs accompanying a blind or hard of hearing person).

Please remember that your ticket is personal and cannot be transferred; you must print it (A4 white paper, no duplex printing) and present it to a Eurolines agent prior to boarding.

  • valid Identity card (national identification card, passport, resident permit,ect.)

When boarding, you may be asked to present your identification to verify your reservation.

  • Travel documents required by countries you are crossing (passport, visa, exit permit,ect.)

Eurolines shall not be liable in any way whatsoever to you in connection with obtaining necessary documents or complying with such laws, regulations, orders, demands, notices, requirements or instructions, whether given orally or in writing or otherwise, or for the consequences to you resulting from your failure to obtain such documents or to comply with such laws, regulations, orders, demands, notices, requirements or instructions.

Eurolines France reserve the right not to accept you on board if you do not comply with these conditions.

To travel with peace of mind, we recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure (it should be noted that check-in for departures from Paris-Gallieni starts 1 hour prior to departure). Boarding closes 15 minutes before the time of departure. In the event that passengers arrive late, boarding will no longer be guaranteed.

For departures from Eurolines Coach Station and Bordeaux do not forget to register at the counter before boarding. A boarding pass will be given to you by one of our Eurolines agents.

So that everyone has a great travel experience, we remind you that on board Eurolines coaches it is prohibited to smoke, consume alcohol or use electronic devices (i.e. computer, tablet, smartphone, mp3 player,ect.) without headphones.

Assisted Travel should be booked 36 hours or more in advance wherever possible.

According to a Ministry circular published on November 20 2012, it is no longer required to complete the permission slip to leave the country in the event that children are traveling without his parents.


Children under the age of sixteen unaccompanied by an adult are not allowed on board of a Eurolines coach.

If the children companion is not the parent (or guardian) a travel authorization signed by one of the parent is required.

Minors must be in possession of the documents required for travel at all times.


Minors between 16 and 18 years old are allowed to travel unaccompanied as long as they are in possession of the documents required for travel at all time.


Minors who do not respect these conditions will not be accepted on board.

Apart from specific conditions (promotions, spécial offers,ect), tickets are refundable and amendable by phone at 0 892 89 90 91 (Service 0.35/min + price of the call) or in one of Eurolines agencies up until  6 hours prior to departure.

How to amend a ticket:

The date or time of your Eurolines ticket can be modified up to 6 hours prior to travel. An amendment fee of 8 will apply. The city of departure and arrival cannot be changed.

Please note that an excess fare may also be charged where a higher fare category applies. If you are in this situation, you will be informed by our agent before confirming the amendment.


  • A ticket which has been amended is no longer refundable.
  • The new date and time of travel must be set when modifying your ticket
  • Even if the new applicable fare is lower than the one originally booked no refund will be made.

How to cancel a ticket:

In case of cancellation, a cancellation fee will apply :

  • Cancellation +72 hours prior to departure : 25 % cancellation fee
  • Cancellation between 72 hours up to 6 hours prior to departure: 50 % cancellation fee
  • ess than 6 hours and up to 15 minutes before departure: the ticket can only be reimbursed in Eurolines Voucher under the conditions indicated in the Eurolines France sales conditions.
  • Less than 15 minutes before departure: no reimbursement will be given.

In some cases (depending on your payment method), our agent may ask you to download a refund application form.


  • Booking fees, boarding fees and insurance fees are not refundable.
  • A ticket which has been partially used is not refundable. In case of a return ticket, the returning ticket is not refundable after the leaving date.
